Product Development
The Client
CANA Designer Cannabis and CBD is a luxury cannabis and hemp derived product line featuring dry flower and pre rolled joints. CANA is based out of Humboldt County in the heart of Emerald Triangle. All CANA products consist of unique cannabis and CBD strains with custom genetics focusing on potency and terpene profile to deliver the best effects.
The Challenge
Analytix Media was hired to develop a new brand and a full product line for cannabis cultivator and distributor. Client’s specifications included minimalist yet luxurious logo and a tagline that represents exclusivity. All product labels had to comply with the state of California Cannabis Packaging and Labeling requirements. The challenge was to design an extensive strain-specific product line - each one completely different from another, while maintaining consistency and integrity of the brand.
The Solution
Our design and media professionals team went straight to work. After several mockups, the client was satisfied with a simple modern-looking logo and a tagline that expressed the message our client wanted to deliver: “Inhale Luxury”. Next, we proceeded to design product line packaging mockups along with the campaigns the client can utilize in the future to advertise their product. It did not come as a surprise, that design that was vivid and colorful was a top choice for CANA. Each strain had its own unique colorful label to represent its rare features and effects while maintaining overall brand identity. Each product also contains visual information about effects of each strain to help consumers make informed buying choices and eliminate the surprise of unwelcome effects. In addition all products display THC, CBD & total cannabinoids content, batch ID number, track-and-trace ID number, and a universal symbol for cannabis products as required by the Bureau of Cannabis Control.
